Saradhi Kuwait organized Sports Meet 2017 at Khaifan Stadium

Saradhi Kuwait, a long established socio-cultural organization in Kuwait conducted  Sports Meet 2017 on 17th February 2017 at Khaifan Stadium.


The meticulously planned sports meet started off with a colourful “March Past” by all the Saradhi Units. More than 500 sports enthusiasts participated in 60 track and field events.


Saradhi President Mr.Suresh.K took the salute of the march past and inaugurated the sports meet. In his inaugural address, Mr.Suresh.K emphasized the need for maintaining a healthy life style especially in the backdrop of the reported increase in life style related ailments in Indian Community in Kuwait. He also expressed his expectation that this event could trigger change in life style of Saradhi members and introduction of more health related activities like yoga classes and regular exercise programs for better health and longevity.


Sports meet General convener Mr.Raneesh Babu offered felicitation during inaugural ceremony. Saradhi General Secretary Mr. Sajeev Narayanan, Treasurer Mr.Murukadas Patron Mr. Suresh Kohath, Trust Chairman Mr.Anith Kumar, Vanitha Vedi Chairperson Mrs.Roshni Biju , Vice President Mr. Preethymon Valath, Secretary Mr. Manu Mohan, Joint Treasurer Mr.Jayan Sadasivan, Trust Secretary Mr.Sajeev Kumar, Trust Treasurer Mr.Rejeesh Mullakkal, and advisory board member Mr.Suresh Vellappilly graced the occasion and encouraged the organizing team.


As in the past, the day long program concluded with Tug of War in which ladies and gents competed with utmost vigor and enthralled the audience. Ahmadi unit won the ever rolling trophy for Men’s Tug of War and Hassawi unit became the runners up. Hassawi unit won the first prize for Women’s team and Riggai unit became the runners up. Special trophy for presenting the best March Past was awarded to Ahmadi Unit.


Individual Championship for each category were presented to Naiga Githin and  Sidharth K Sreejith (Sub Jounior), Navami Prakash , Sreehari Sunilraj and Kanak Anand (Juniors), Kajal Libi and Saran Prem (Seniors), Nimisha Syam , Ajith K Sasi and Sibin C Balan ( Super Senior ), Smitha Libu, Jineesh Chandrashekar and Rejeesh Gopinadhan (Masters), Prashanth Chidambaran and Bindu Lekshmi Udayan (Super Masters).


The Mangaf East Unit won the ever-rolling trophy for overall Championship.


The entire event was planned, scheduled and executed with utmost perfection and timing by the Saradhi Mangaf East Unit under the able leadership of General Convener Mr. Raneesh Babu, through the impeccable harmonization between the coordinators, Mr.Priji P R, Mr.Prajeesh Prabhu, Mr.Jayaseelan, Mr.Biju M P, Mr Aji Kuttapan, Mr Shannob Shekhar, Mr.Nandu S Babu, Mr Udhyabhanu and Mr.Prasoon M.


Mr.Huzefa, the assistant marketing manager of Al Mulla Exchange, the annual sponsor of Saradhi Kuwait, presented I phone to Mr.Rajesh Gopinath, who won the raffle draw conducted exclusively for Saradhi members by Al Mulla Exchange, during the occasion.
