The purpose driven annual camp for Indian students - VENALTHANIMA 2017 –  a three day personality development & leadership training workshop organized for the 13th year by THANIMA, was inaugurated at Thanima Centre, Julaiah today, 4th May 2017 in the presence of community representatives, Camp Leaders and Thanima family members. Theme of the camp is ‘Back to Books’.

Alex Varghese (Convener) presided over the function. He had urged the campers to take full advantage of the opportunity, as camps of this nature are rarely conducted in Kuwait.  Jacob Varghese (Gen. Convener, Thanima), Mrs. Mini Kodiat (Resource person & social activist) and Regi Thomas (Resource person) inaugurated the camp by lighting the traditional lamp.

Babuji Bathery (Camp Director) briefed about the Camp. He had felicitated the campers getting an opportunity to look back to their roots, in a society where values, morals & discipline are fast disappearing from a fast phased life style.

More than 200 children from the age 9 – 17, and divided into three Groups are participating in the Camp.  Venalthanima Jt. Conveners, Beena Paul welcomed the gathering while Ruhail proposed a vote of thanks.   Camp will conclude on 6th May.
