Friends of Kannur Kuwait Expat’s Association (FOKE), Kuwait organized for the 6th year in a row, an event in memory of Dr. Sukumar Azhikode.

 

General Secretary Xavier Antony welcomed the audience and President Omanakuttan K. presided over the function organized at FOKE Abbasiya Hall.

 

Well-known literary cultural activists of Kuwait - Dharmaraj Madappally, John Mathew, Keerthi Sumesh, Ranjith Viswam, FOKE advisory members - Praveen Aduthila, BP Surendran, Anil Keloth, Vanitha Vedhi Chairperson - Leena Sabu, Balavedhi Convener - Adityan Dayanandan, Balavedhi Coordinator Girimandiram Sasikumar delivered the memorial lecture. Arts Convener Shamju M. expressed vote of thanks. FOKE Treasurer Vinoj Kumar also attended the function.

 

Commemorative speakers urged the audience to stay awake against deterrence in society and advised the audience that we should be able to respond to the contemporary issues by penetrating deeply into the subjects similar to Dr. Sukumar Azhikode.

 

On the same day, FOKE organized essay writing competition for elders and elocution competition for junior and senior students. Winners were rewarded.
