YMCA Kuwait conducted Musical Evening – Extravaganza 2018 at Indian Community Senior School Auditorium, Salmiya. The program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Giju George (Asst. Vicar – Indian Orthodox Maha Edavaka) with his inspiring message followed by lighting the traditional Lamp. Mr. Mathew Eapen (YMCA President) presided over the inaugural function.

 

For the Musical evening, YMCA had invited two most popular singers from Kerala , Mr. Jobi John who was the winner (Finalist) of Idea Star Singer (Asianet reality show) Season 4 and Ms. Merin Gregory who was the winner (Finalist) of Idea Star Singer (Asianet reality show) Season 6.  The main event started with few devotional songs by Jobi John followed by Merin Gregory and also by Anna Elizabeth Raju, who is the rising star of Kuwait. After which the performers did a number of Films songs which was treat for all those who attended the program. Mr. Mathew Varkey ( YMCA Kuwait - Vice President ) also rendered a song during the event. At the end, the singers did some fast numbers.

 

 The program was attended by a large gathering and it was a memorable day and a great opportunity for all the members and well-wishers to mingle with each other and renew their friendship. Also, many priests from different churches witnessed the occasion.

 

Mr. Mathew Eapen ( YMCA Kuwait - President ) gave his Presidential address where he reminded all YMCA members to hold hand in hand to work together for the betterment of the society that we are included. Mr. Raju Kurukavelil (General Convener) welcomed the gathering. YMCA honoured Mr. Krisha Kumar of Golden Palm Petroleum Services Co., the main sponsor,  by presenting a ‘Ponnada’ during the event.

 

A souvenir was published with the participation of a number of  companies and well-wishers which was a great success. The Souvenir was inaugurated by N. Ajith Kumar (Pravasi Welfare Board Member) handing over a copy to Adv. John Thomas (Administrator -United Indian School, Kuwait)

 

Parimanam Manoj (YMCA Kuwait - General Secretary) proposed vote of thanks. Different committees were formed for the smooth functioning of the event under the leadership of YMCA Board members. Sunny Andrews (Program), Mathew Varkey (Finance), Alex Cherian (Souveneir), James Varghese (Raffle), John Kutty oommen (Volunteer), Babu Johnson (Reception), Joseph M.A. (Light & Sound), Sunu Oommen (Technical), Ajosh Mathew (Stage & Seating).

 

The orchestration was conducted by the famous troupe – Shruthilaya, Kuwait. Mr. Jinoj John Mathew handled the LED display with utmost perfection. Ms. Sharanya Rahul  presented the program with brilliant compeering.
