South queen Samantha has finally signed a new project completely clearing the air about her film career post her wedding with Naga Chaitanya.

Reports suggest that the actor is teaming up with Ram Charan Teja. Under Sukumar’s direction, the film is said to be a village-based romantic entertainer, which will be shot from January next year. However, an official confirmation is awaited in this regard.

Devi Sri Prasad has also been roped in to render music and the film will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Samantha is currently busy working for Tamil thriller Irumbu Thirai by P S Mithran. The film features Vishal and Samantha in lead roles, while Arya will be seen playing a baddie.

After four back-to-back hits this year, it is rumoured that Samantha might not sign on any movie post her wedding, which is likely to happen by the end of this year. At a press conference, Akkineni Nagarjuna had also said that the dates for the marriage will be finalised after they could find an ‘auspicious’ time for the nuptials.

“#Theri #24TheMovie #AAa and #JanathaGarage. My filmography got its gold stars. Thank you for an amazing year. To many more great films,” Samantha had tweeted.

Sam also delivered a couple of blockbusters both in Telugu (Janatha Garage and A..Aa) and Tamil (Theri and 24 The Movie) this year. Janatha Garage, starring Jr NTR and Mohanlal, turned out to be a stupendous hit for her after the film joined the Rs 100-crore club, becoming the second fastest grosser in Tollywood.
