Indian Social Forum Kuwait has strongly condemned the ruthless killing of Senior Journalist Ms. Gauri Lankesh.

It is shocking that a fearless elderly woman journalist and a strong secular voice of Karnataka like Gauri Lankesh has been shot to death. She was always in the fore front of the struggle against communal fascism and uncompromising loyalty to the secular values of India.

The Indian Social Forum expressed its deep condolences to her family, friends and colleagues. The forum suspects that the same communal forces which murdered the thinkers like Narendra Dhabolkar, Pansare and M.M Kalburgi are behind the murder of Gauri Lankesh. The failure by the governments in arresting the killers of these activists has given free atmosphere and strength to continue such heinous crimes. ISF demands that her killers be identified and brought to book in a swift manner.

The murderers and their masters behind this brutal killing intend to silence the progressive voices. However, the martyrdom of Gauri Lankesh will inspire more and more people to come out against fascism ISF stated in its press release.
