Posted on : Tuesday 28th of November 2017

BRUSSELS (KUNA) -- Kuwait has participated in the Conference of the States Parties of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), held in The Hague, Netherlands, late Monday.

During the meeting, Morocco was elected president of the current session. OPCW is the implementing body of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), which started its work in 1997. OPCW includes 192 member-states, aiming to achieve a world with no chemical weapons. The organization believes that preventing the use of chemistry in warfare will protect global security.
