The 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift has been launched in the country with prices starting at ₹ 9.43 lakh for the petrol version, while the diesel version starts at ₹ 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The updated Creta gets its first comprehensive upgrade, almost three years after launch sporting revised styling, updated interiors and a host of new features on offer. Keeping up with the market, Hyundai has also launched an orange paint scheme with a dual-tone option on the compact SUV. The new Hyundai Creta facelift is ₹ 15,000 more expensive than its predecessor for the base petrol version; whereas the top-spec SX (O) petrol is more expensive by ₹ 57,000. On the other hand, prices for the base diesel variant remains unchanged while the top-spec SX (O) trim is pricier by ₹ 44,000. Interestingly, Hyundai has skipped the SX+ trim altogether, and the SX (O) is the new range-topping variant across the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The 1.4-litre diesel is offered on the E+ and S trims. The 2018 Creta takes on the Mahindra XUV500 facelift and the Jeep Compass.

As part of the upgrades, the 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift gets a slightly updated front, featuring the new cascade grille with a chrome bezel that makes it look a bit more upmarket. The bumpers are new and get a dual-tone finish with skid plates. The fog lamps have also been revised and are now surrounded by new LED DRLs, while you also get new bi-functional projector headlamps, positioning lamp, LED side indicators, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and a shark fin antenna as part of the changes. At the rear, the Creta facelift sports updated taillamps, which look good.

In addition, the Hyundai Creta facelift also gets a glossy A-pillar on the top trims, while there are two new dual-tone paint options on offer - Marina Blue and Passion Orange along with new Dual Tone Passion Orange and Black. You can also add the new Tangerine Orange Interior colour pack to spice up the cabin.

Hyundai has also updated the feature list on the 2018 Creta facelift that includes first-in-segment smart electric sunroof and 6-way powered driver seats, smart key band and wireless phone charger. You also get speed sensing auto door lock, sliding front armrest and height adjustable driver's seat, which is offered as standard. There's also cruise control, a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink, along with the iBlue Audio Control App.

Hyundai has improved the safety quotient on the Creta facelift with six airbags on the top trims, while all variants get dual airbags and ABS as standard. The compact SUV also comes with ESC, VSM, and Hill Assist Control, as well as the new front seatbelt pre-tensioners.

Power on the 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift comes from the same 1.6-litre petrol engine tuned for 121 bhp, while the 1.6-litre CRDi diesel produces 126 bhp of max power. Both engines are paired to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. There's also the more fuel efficient 1.4-litre diesel with 88 bhp on offer.

Hyundai is offering a warranty of 3 years/unlimited km on the 2018 Creta, along with Roadside Assistance. Bookings for the Hyundai Creta facelift have already begun while deliveries will start towards the end of this month.
